If you don’t find your answer here. Feel free to send us a message.

If you are using insurance, make sure to find out if you will need a doctor’s note. As well, do you have direct billing and remember to check your available annual allowance or balance.

In some cases if you plan on using direct billing on your first visit, please note some insurance companies may want you to pay up front. Please anticipate this possibility if you are booking for the first time.

When dealing with a RMT, the amount of pressure starts with your comfort level. Massages encourage the feeling of wellness in the body, focusing on muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons.

If you are coming in for a massage with ‘pain’ already (or tenderness somewhere on your body) then you are doing the right thing. You are considered to be having an acute pain. Anyone with body pain should be referred to a Massage Therapist. Anyone who has physical pain in the muscles of their body can try methods that have been proven over many years.

Some techniques for example, will target slowing your circulation for healing or relaxation (de-stressing) in your body. In the event bruises or healing from an injury is your reason for the visit, pain inflicted on your tender region in your session is normal. When treating or assessing the tender region, pain comes with rehabilitation and healing. This is why discussing your pain with your RMT is important, allowing the therapist to guide you best in what to expect from your session.

As of July 1, 2010, Massage Therapists are required to collect HST. For further information regarding HST and its collection, please refer to the Canada Revenue Agency website.

When you book your first appointment with us, a discussion with the therapist is assumed, this is where you bring up what your discomfort, focus or need for relaxation is. If your request isn’t best soothed by massage therapy, we have many therapeutic suggestions we can give you at any time. Therefore you are always empowered to stop a session or refuse massage at any time.

With this understanding paying ahead of time can cause a problem if you so choose not to go through with your reserved appointment. To service you our best we ask our patients to respect our time and to be organized for your reserved time slot. We secure your pampered experience, and your cancellation means concerns of another could have been addressed in your appointment. Please review our cancellation policy.

Yes, If you want your sensitive areas treated, then you must consent each time. In The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) experience, abuse can occur on the second or subsequent visit, not just on the first visit. This is why we ask you to consent at each visit to ensure client safety.

Your Massage Therapist will ask for your written consent before each treatment for the breasts, front chest wall and the upper inner thighs. For treatments of the gluteal muscles (buttocks), your Massage Therapist will obtain your written consent at the beginning of a treatment plan, then orally for additional treatments within that same treatment plan. The whole process should just take a couple of minutes unless you have further questions.
